THE SKITHEUP RESORTS
Big Snow Country is heralded as the “Ski Mecca of the Midwest” boasting 3 large resorts, Big Powderhorn Mountain, BlackJack and Indianhead Mountain.

Indianhead, Big Powderhorn and Blackjack--located within minutes of each other in Michigan's Upper Peninsula--have long been favorites with Midwest skiers. A mix of terrain, more than 75 runs and lifts, multiple runs, lots of snow (annual average around 17 feet) and a variety of lodging are among the draws.

And, snowboarders can keep busy on the six terrain parks, two super half-pipes and a quarter-pipe.

All three resorts share the beauty of the region, which encompasses the ancient Gogebic and Penokee mountain ranges and glimpses of Lake Superior from many of the mountain peaks.

An added plus is the Hill Hopper Pass--one lift ticket that allows guests to ski all three resorts on one pass anytime with no restrictions.

Marquette Mountain located in the UP's largest city, Marquette, Michigan is a 600 foot  vertical-25 trail ski area over looking beautiful Lake Superior. Marquette  Mountain offers the Midwest's best Terrain Park, up to 12 hours of skiing per day and the most diverse trails in Michigan.
